Our Conferences and COVID-19
Conferences and events depend on human contact. From a simple handshake to a large-scale presentation; from exchanging a business card to group seminars and workshops. And we are working hard to keep it that way!
COVID has changed the way we do business. It has had a profound impact on employment, on local and
national economies. It has changed the way we use and think about technology, and has forced us to
rethink the way we travel, the places we meet, the ways we interact. That's why our online meetings
provide a dynamic counterpart to our traditional offline conferences.
Here are some of our
clients' most common questions about running online and offline conferences during the current
pandemic in a way that is safe and secure:
What value is there in an online conference?
The global pandemic has made us all even more creative and imaginative about the way we work, and it has inspired us to enhance and enrich the experiences we offer to those attending our events. We try to bring to our online offering all of the interest and variety you would expect from a full-scale offline conference, including seminars and networking.
When will in-person conferences start again?
Where we can, we hope to offer in-person conferences later in 2021. Numbers of delegates, and any special requirements for attendance, will be published alongside event information. Understandably, we cannot give more detailed answers to these questions until we have clearer information about the development of the pandemic.
How will we ensure that future conferences are safe?
As always, we will continue to be rigorous in ensuring the health and safety of our delegates and speakers, including, where necessary, the usual measures to reduce the risk of viral infection such as disinfection and protective clothing. The 2020 outbreak of coronavirus has made us even more aware of the importance of each other's well-being.
